Kareena Neisius once again found herself under the scrutinising gaze of the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) as she arrived at the Réduit Triangle on the morning of Monday, 28th April.

This latest appearance is part of an ongoing investigation into the allocation of a lucrative contract for petroleum products by the State Trading Corporation (STC).

In a dramatic turn of events, after enduring more than eight hours of intense questioning, Neisius expressed her discomfort to the FCC investigators.

Her condition prompted the swift arrival of an ambulance from the SAMU, and in a scene that underscored the urgency of the situation, she was transported on a stretcher before being placed into the ambulance and subsequently transferred to Victoria Hospital.

The director of Mercantile & Maritime Ltd, Neisius’s involvement in this high-stakes inquiry raises pressing questions about the integrity of public contracts and the accountability of those at the helm of such enterprises.

As the investigation unfolds, the implications of her testimony and the circumstances surrounding the contract allocation remain a focal point of interest.
