IBL Group Rises to 66th in Jeune Afrique’s Top 500

Mauritius-based IBL Group has secured the 66th position in the prestigious ranking of Africa’s 500 leading enterprises, Jeune Afrique reported in its 2025 edition. This significant leap is underscored by an 89% surge in revenue, now standing at USD 2.3 billion.
Arnaud Lagesse, the Group Chief Executive Officer of IBL, has reflected on this achievement with pride:
“This progress is a collective effort, executed with unwavering diligence and consistency. It highlights the impact of the strategic decisions made in recent years, as well as the dedication of all our teams who contribute daily to our development.
It is also a testament to the trust our partners across the continent place in us.”
The annual ranking, compiled by Jeune Afrique, serves as a benchmark for assessing the economic performance of companies operating within Africa, regardless of their origin.
IBL not only retains its status as the foremost Mauritian enterprise but also stands as one of the few representatives from the Indian Ocean region.
The company has embarked on a sustained growth trajectory, expanding its footprint across several African nations, including Kenya, Réunion Island, and more recently, the Seychelles.
This expansion is complemented by a diversification of its operations into promising sectors such as logistics, agri-food, financial services, and industry.
The group said it is also steadfast in its commitment to sustainable development, actively engaging in concrete initiatives within the realms of energy transition, circular economy, and social inclusion.
As IBL Group continues to forge ahead, its ascent in the ranks of Africa’s business elite not only reflects its own ambitions but also heralds a new chapter for economic dynamism across the continent.
