Share Your Thoughts: Survey to Measure State of Courtesy in Mauritius

An online survey launched by Cerebro, a strategy and communication consulting firm, is seeking to find out how Mauritians feel about civility, courtesy and manners in their daily lives.
Javed Bolah, Cerebro’s Executive Director, explains the importance of the survey: “Everyday interactions matter, whether we are at school, in public spaces, at work, or discussing sensitive topics like religion and politics.
“The survey covers a range of scenarios, allowing respondents to reflect on their daily interactions. It seeks to answer key questions: Are people being polite? Is rudeness becoming worse in our society?”
Courtesy and Civility
To encourage honest feedback, the survey ensures confidentiality. Participants can rest assured that their answers will remain private, contributing to a better understanding of the current state of courtesy and civility in Mauritius.
“Your insights will help us understand what’s really happening in our country,” Javed Bolah emphasised.
