On Wednesday 8th April evening, Sébastien de Robillard, Head of Sales at ENL Property Ltd, was interviewed as a witness by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) in Réduit, amidst the ongoing investigation into the MIC affair. This revelation comes from his legal representative, Me William de Robillard. The interrogation concluded around 9:45 PM.

The investigation concerns an alleged misappropriation of Rs 300 million, which purportedly disadvantaged the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC) while benefiting Apavou Hotels Ltd.

Former Finance Minister Renganaden Padayachy, along with the former Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, Harvesh Seegolam, were placed under arrest in connection with the same case.

Renganaden Padayachy spent the night at the Moka detention centre, facing provisional charges of “fraud by abuse of position”.

As the investigation progresses, Mauritius eagerly awaits the unfolding truth behind these serious allegations.
