Reservoirs Water Levels Plummet to 52.4% Capacity

As of April 7, 2025, reservoirs are entrenched in a troubling situation, with the overall water filling rate languishing at just 52.4%. This figure starkly contrasts the robust 93.0% recorded on the same date a year ago. While there has been a slight uptick in reservoir levels, the overarching situation remains concerning.
The current figures for our primary reservoirs:
- Mare-aux-Vacoas: a concerning 41.1%
- La Nicolière: a relatively higher 84.6%
- Piton-du-Milieu: a troubling 75.6%
- La Ferme: a critical low of 40.1%
- Mare-Longue: a moderate 53.3%
- Midlands: precariously at 56.4%
- Bagatelle: slightly better at 58.4%
