Municipal Elections 2025: PMSD Steps Back from the Race

In a surprising development, the PMSD has declared that it will not take part in the municipal elections of 2025, despite having registered with the Electoral Commission as one of the political parties. “The Blues have opted to concentrate on their effort to rebuild,” stated Mamad Khodabaccus, the Secretary General of the party.

He explained that both the Political Bureau and the executive committee met to discuss their involvement in the forthcoming elections.

“A range of opinions were voiced. After thorough reflection, we reached the decision not to engage in the municipal elections,” he added.
