Drug Planting Allegations: Arrest Notices for Jagai, Gangadin & 18 Former SST Members

Authorities have issued an “Arrest Upon Departure Notice” for ACP Gangadin, SP Ashik Jagai, and 18 other former members of the now-defunct Special Striking Team (SST).

This major step follows a formal request from the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) directed to the Commissioner of Police’s office, a correspondence that originated on 19 March 2025.

The notice has been sent to the Passport and Immigration Office in light of a serious complaint made by a former constable of the SST.

She has made the courageous decision to come forward, accusing the former unit of engaging in the heinous act of “drug planting,” highlighting grave concerns about the integrity of our law enforcement agencies.
