Sodnac SSS Temporary Closure: Health Worries for 20 Students

Sodnac State Secondary School is closed this Friday, 28th March, following a concerning incident that occurred on Thursday 27th morning. Around twenty students from Grades 7 and 9 have reported experiencing distressing skin rashes.

Initially, these pupils received care at the local Area Health Centre but were later transferred to Victoria Hospital in Candos for a more comprehensive examination by a paediatrician.

As of now, the exact cause of these rashes remains unknown, causing anxiety among parents and staff alike.

In response to this unsettling situation, officials from the Ministries of Health and Education are scheduled to visit the school on 28th March morning.

Their aim is to assess the circumstances and offer clarity to a worried community.

As precautionary measures are implemented, the health and safety of the students continue to be the top priority.
