Health Warning: 2 Dengue Cases & 5 Chikungunya Infections Detected

Two local cases of dengue fever has been reported in the southern part of Mauritius, escalating concerns for public health. This case emerged on Sunday, 23rd March, involving a 48-year-old woman from Plaine-Magnien. She is currently being treated at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle, and her condition has been deemed stable, providing a measure of reassurance amidst rising worries.
In addition to the dengue case, health officials are also monitoring five cases of Chikungunya, further intensifying the urgency of the situation.
As the country faces these mosquito-borne diseases, the community is urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to safeguard their health.
