Casino Employees Raise Concerns Over Possible Funds Misallocation

Brady Ponnusami, an employee at Casinos de Maurice, has passionately condemned the recent decision to dissolve the committee that organised employee activities, describing it as “revolting and unacceptable.” His strong sentiments resonate with many of his colleagues, who are deeply concerned about the implications of this action.

Several employees have raised troubling allegations, claiming that funds designated for their activities may have been improperly redirected to other uses.

In a quest for transparency, they have submitted a letter to the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, urging for clear explanations and corrective measures regarding the situation.

Their discontent has been heightened by the timing of the committee’s dissolution, which took place on the same day that Ponnusami intended to formally report these troubling issues regarding the management of funds.

A representative from the State Investment Corporation (SIC) confirmed that they had received a request from the union president to dissolve the committee, which management complied with.

He assured that new elections will soon be held to elect new committee members.

Regarding the funds in question, he stated that they have not been expended, leaving many employees still seeking clarity on the future of their planned activities.
