14 Graduates Join Aspen Global’s NewGen Program in Mauritius

Aspen Global Incorporated is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025 edition of the NewGen Aspen Graduate Program. This intensive, year-long initiative prioritises ongoing training and professional development, aimed at equipping young graduates with the skills, experience, and vision needed to excel in today’s dynamic and international work environment.
The NewGen Program underscores Aspen Global’s steadfast commitment to fostering Mauritian talent while providing outstanding opportunities for growth and career advancement.
This year, fourteen aspiring graduates will begin their journey at Aspen Global’s headquarters in Grand-Baie.
The NewGen Program offers participants an immersive experience across key departments such as Information Technology, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and Accounting.
Through a rotational format, they will gain essential insights into the company’s operations, setting the stage for long-term career potential within Aspen Global.
“The talent displayed by these young Mauritian graduates is exceptional, and we are committed to empowering them to thrive and achieve their fullest potential,” remarked Dragos Burca, Head of People & Culture at Aspen Global.
“With the NewGen Program, we provide a world-class professional experience and the opportunity to make a difference within a meaningful international company.
Over the last decade, many of our finest talents have emerged from this programme, showcasing its lasting impact.
Regardless of whether participants choose to stay with us or pursue other opportunities, our goal is for them to depart enriched by an inspiring and formative experience that will shape their future careers.”
Participants will enjoy a comprehensive support system, including a buddy to assist with their integration and motivate them as they navigate their early days in the company.
Furthermore, they will be paired with a seasoned mentor who will guide them in their personal and professional development throughout the programme.
They will also have the unique chance to collaborate with colleagues from over 20 different countries, broadening their global perspective.
This initiative aligns with Aspen Global’s strategy to attract, develop, and retain local talent.
By providing graduates with a springboard for their careers, it complements the group’s mission to enhance healthcare access around the globe.
Countering Brain Drain
As Mauritius faces an increasing trend of talent leaving its shores, the NewGen Program embodies a viable alternative to this concerning phenomenon.
A growing number of young professionals are opting to seek better career opportunities abroad, but Aspen Global is challenging this trend by investing in the training and advancement of local talent, allowing them to carve their paths on their home ground.
Through this programme, Aspen Global not only commits to uplifting Mauritian youth but also contributes to the economic and social advancement of the country.
