PM Ramgoolam Urges Youth: “You Are Tomorrow’s Builders & Value Guardians”

In a heartfelt address to students celebrating the 57th anniversary of Mauritius’ independence, Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam delivered a moving message that echoed through schools across the nation on the 11th March.
He seized this occasion to highlight the true meaning of patriotism, stating:
“The raising of our flag represents our values and our dedication to building a brighter future, rooted in unity and diversity.
Our independence arises from the sacrifices and struggles of various communities, guided by visionary leaders such as Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam.”
The Prime Minister expressed a firm belief that the country’s future rests with its young people.
“We count on you to build this future,” he proclaimed, emphasising that “hard work, discipline, rigour, and respect are the keys to achieving success.”
With a weighty tone, he appealed to the young citizens of the republic, saying, “You are the architects of tomorrow and the protectors of our values.
With education, dedication, and resolve, we can transform Mauritius into a land of peace, progress, and prosperity.”
Additionally, he encouraged the children to embody commitment and discipline in their lives, reinforcing the notion that these traits are essential for their future accomplishments.
