In Montagne-Blanche, a shocking incident has unfolded over the local police force. On Tuesday, 25 February, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) was found to be over the legal alcohol limit after a troubling encounter on the road.

The drama began when an oncoming driver noticed the ASP swerving dangerously and veering into his lane, forcing him to take evasive action to avoid a potential collision.

Fearing for his safety, the concerned driver confronted the high-ranking officer just moments later, and swiftly summoned the police to the scene.

Fellow police officers quickly arrived to conduct an alcotest, which revealed a staggering blood alcohol concentration of 103 mg of alcohol per litre of breath, significantly above the legal threshold.

In light of this grave breach of public safety, the ASP was taken into custody to sober up in a holding cell.

Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident, raising serious questions about the conduct of those entrusted with upholding the law.
