On Wednesday, 26th February, the Vacoas Weather Station has maintained a Class II cyclone alert, prompting the island to brace for the imminent approach of this powerful storm. As the Tropical Storm Garance steadfastly heads southeast, there is a strong possibility that a Class III cyclone warning will be announced today at 4:10 PM, as warned by the National Emergency Operations Command in an official release.

The National Emergency Operations Command has issued crucial safety instructions aimed at both the Maha Shivratree pilgrims and the general populace.

Law enforcement, firefighters, and relevant authorities are on high alert to ensure everyone’s safety.
