The Public Service Excellence Award 17th Edition is set to commence, offering four distinct categories for institutions. This prestigious initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, will unfold under the stirring theme: “Achieving Results and Building Trust Through an Innovative, Sustainable, and Citizen-Centric Public Service.”

Participating institutions will compete across four categories: ministries and departments, disciplined forces, local authorities, and public agencies.

Each category’s winners will be rewarded with cash prizes, recognising their remarkable contributions to public service.

The evaluation criteria for all participating public organisations will include:

  • Transformational leadership
  • Operational efficiency in meeting the needs and aspirations of citizens
  • Adoption of innovative and sustainable initiatives
  • Optimal resource utilisation
  • Promotion of good governance, accountability, and transparency
  • Establishment of a culture of health and safety in the workplace

These details emerged from the Council of Ministers’ meeting held on Friday, 21st February.

This initiative not only highlights commitment to excellence but also aims to inspire further advancements in public service across the nation.
