The company’s General Manager, Irfanally Fatadin, shared insights about Reneworld’s strategic direction, stating:

“We are now shifting our focus towards the B2B sector with larger-scale projects beyond the megawatt level.

Our first major project, which became operational in August 2024, represents a significant advancement for the energy network and aligns with the Central Electricity Board’s (CEB) ‘Smart City’ initiative.”

The new solar farm is capable of providing power for approximately 400 to 500 households annually, showcasing its capacity to meet local energy demands.

Fatadin emphasized the durability of the structure, noting that it has been engineered to withstand cyclones with winds of up to 300 km/h.

Ravindra Kumar Padaruth, Head of Projects at Reneworld, added that the solar farm was developed on a two-hectare plot of land.

The project, which commenced in August 2023, was completed in just eight months.

In addition to its energy contributions, the solar farm is projected to generate savings of $5 million over the next two decades.

This latest venture not only enhanced the region’s renewable energy capacity but also demonstrates Reneworld’s commitment to sustainable development and economic growth in the local community.
