Weather Update: Thunderstorms & Winds Up to 60 km/h Expected

Active clouds moving in from the east will impact local weather conditions intermittently. According to the latest report from the weather station, expect overcast skies accompanied by showers primarily in the northeastern, eastern, southern regions, and the central plateau on Friday, January 10, during the morning and afternoon hours. These showers may temporarily intensify and carry a risk of thunderstorms.

Cloudy periods are anticipated along with showers, especially in the eastern half of the island, the southern regions, and the central plateau.

These showers could also reach moderate levels and pose a risk of thunderstorms.

Winds will blow from the east-southeast at approximately 25 km/h, with gusts potentially reaching up to 60 km/h, expected to strengthen throughout Friday, January 10.

The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, gradually becoming strong with waves of up to 2.5 meters.

These waves may rise even higher, potentially reaching 3 meters.

At 04:00, the moderate tropical storm Dikeledi was located at approximately 14.2° South latitude and 59.0° East longitude, roughly 270 km north-northwest of Saint Brandon. The storm is currently moving westward at about 30 km/h.
