Six months after its initial public offering, Emtel has been officially added to the SEM-10 index. This index includes the ten largest companies by market capitalization on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM).
In a statement regarding this achievement, Kresh Goomany, the CEO of Emtel, expressed that this milestone goes beyond mere corporate success.
“We take great pride in standing alongside the historical groups that have contributed to the development of our country,” he stated.
Goomany emphasized that this recognition illustrates how Emtel, with its commitment to diversity, stands out at the highest levels of the economy.
Emtel is dedicated to pursuing excellence and innovation. According to Goomany, the company’s entry into the elite of the SEM reflects this ambition.
“We now have the responsibility to honor this trust by continuously striving to improve the daily lives of our fellow citizens and to minimize the digital divide in our nation,” he added.
Emtel’s integration into the SEM-10 is seen as a significant step in establishing its presence within the Mauritian economy and reinforcing its commitment to fostering growth and innovation.
