Investigation Intensifies into Rs 45 Million MIC Allegations
The police are ramping up their investigation into alleged financial misappropriations linked to the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC). Recently, Stéphane and Queenie Adam, the directors of Pulse Analytics, were summoned to provide their accounts to law enforcement officials. During the interrogation, they were accompanied by their attorney, Hervé Duval Jr.
Additionally, investigators from the Anti Money Laundering Unit conducted a search of their residence.
This investigation revolves around claims of irregularities related to the disbursement of 45 million rupees by the MIC to the private company in question.
Former Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, Harvesh Seegolam, has also been questioned in this matter and has reportedly been placed under arrest.
Furthermore, authorities have issued a departure order against former Finance Minister Renganaden Padayachy, preventing him from leaving the country while the investigation continues.
