On January 8 morning, officers from the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) conducted a surprise raid at the headquarters of the National Transport Corporation (CNT) in Vacoas. The operation was aimed at gathering documents related to the awarding of several contracts.

The investigation is specifically focusing on various procurement activities, including the purchase of shoes for employees and the acquisition of Electronic Ticketing Machines.

In a related development, it is expected that the former director general of CNT, Rao Rama, will be summoned for questioning at the Réduit Triangle next week.

This ongoing inquiry is highlighting concerns over potential irregularities in the company’s contract awarding processes.
