Tragic Incident: 18-Month-Old Girl Found Dead

A shocking incident occurred at Résidence Richelieu on the first day of the year when an 18-month-old girl named Catalea was discovered dead in her yard. The child was found with multiple injuries on various parts of her body, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding her death.

The girl’s mother was alerted to the situation and rushed Catalea to Dr. A. G. J eetoo Hospital in Port-Louis.

Tragically, upon arrival, medical personnel could only confirm that the child had passed away.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, January 2, to determine the exact cause of death.

In her statement to the police, Catalea’s mother claimed that her daughter had been attacked by a man known as “Touloute,” a resident of Résidence Richelieu.

Following this account, the suspect was apprehended by authorities.
