In Port-Louis, an alarming incident unfolded late Saturday night, December 21, when pedestrians broke the window of a locked car to rescue a four-month-old baby. The infant was found alone and unattended inside a gray Mercedes, parked on Rue Rémy Ollier around midnight.

Concerned passersby witnessed the child’s distress and took immediate action, smashing the front driver’s side window to access the baby.

After being freed from the vehicle, the child was swiftly transported to Dr. A. G. Jeetoo Hospital.

Staff there provided necessary medical attention, and the baby was placed under observation as per hospital protocol to ensure their well-being.

Following the rescue, law enforcement officials apprehended the baby’s parents.

The father, an Indian entrepreneur residing in Tranquebar, is also recognized for his presence on TikTok.

Notably, this individual has a troubled history with the police, having faced previous allegations related to child exploitation.

The incident raises serious concerns about child safety and parental responsibility, as authorities investigate the circumstances leading to the child being left alone in the vehicle.
