Juice Tap, a New Payment Solution by MCB Juice

Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) has launched an innovative payment service called “Juice Tap by MCB Juice.” This new offering allows customers to make purchases simply by bringing their mobile phones close to a payment terminal. The feature is activated through the MCB Juice application and requires a smartphone equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

Initially, Juice Tap will be available for Android users with VISA cards, but MCB plans to gradually extend the service to Mastercard users on the Android platform.

Discussions are already underway with Apple to make the service accessible to iPhone users as well.

MCB emphasized that Juice Tap is a highly secure payment solution, with all transactions being encrypted to minimize the risk of fraud.

The introduction of this cutting-edge payment method reflects MCB’s commitment to providing convenient, safe, and modern banking services for its customers.

Key figures involved in the launch, including Thierry Hebraud, CEO of MCB Ltd, Aida Diarra, Senior Vice President at VISA, Chad Pollock, Vice President and General Manager of Visa East Africa, and Stephanie Ng Tseung, Head of Payments at MCB, were instrumental in bringing this service to fruition.
