Government & Business Mauritius Reinforce Dialogue
In a significant development for the relationship between the Mauritian government and the private sector, a meeting took place today between Minister of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives, Aadil Ameer Meea, and a delegation from Business Mauritius (BM). This encounter is marking a new chapter in the dialogue between these two crucial partners, following a tumultuous end of term for the previous government that strained relations with the private sector.
Kevin Ramkaloan, the Chief Executive Officer of Business Mauritius, led the delegation, which included the organization’s president, Anil Currimjee.
Ramkaloan expressed satisfaction with the minister’s vision for the industrial sector and his willingness to consider proposals from Business Mauritius.
He indicated a desire to hold technical meetings with ministry officials to delve deeper into key topics affecting the industry.
Minister Ameer Meea reaffirmed the government’s commitment to collaborating closely with the private sector in order to achieve socio-economic progress for Mauritius.
He highlighted that this meeting represents an important step forward in fostering dialogue between public authorities and the private sector, with a shared goal of enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of the Mauritian economy.
