Tragic Drowning of 69-Year-Old French Tourist
A tragic incident occurred at the lagoon in Flic-en-Flac on Monday, December 2, when the body of French tourist was recovered from the water by local volunteers. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency personnel, the medical team from Samu could only confirm the man’s death at the scene.
An autopsy conducted by forensic expert Dr. Prem Chamane determined that the cause of death was asphyxia resulting from drowning.
Reports indicated that the tourist had arrived in Mauritius on November 6 and was scheduled to leave the island the following day, December 3.
