Tragic Accident Claims Life of 66-Yr-Old French Tourist

Tourist tragically lost his life during a hiking excursion to the Eau Bleue waterfall in the village of Cluny on the afternoon of November 29. According to his wife, who spoke with local authorities, they were descending a cliff alongside two friends, also French nationals, when he lost his footing and fell approximately ten meters onto a rocky surface.

Emergency services, including the police and firefighters, quickly responded to the scene and worked to evacuate the injured tourist to a safer location.

At that time, he was experiencing severe chest pains.

Upon arrival, a medical team from SAMU, the French emergency medical service, examined him on-site.

Despite receiving immediate first aid, the man sadly passed away. An autopsy conducted by Dr. Ananda Sunnassee, the police’s forensic doctor, determined that the man succumbed to multiple injuries sustained during the fall.
