Moderate Tropical Storm Robyn Forms Far from the Mascarenes

A tropical depression operating in the Australian region has intensified into a moderate tropical storm, currently designated as Robyn by Australian meteorological services. This system is located far to the east-northeast of the Mascarenes and is not expected to impact weather conditions in our area, according to the Vacoas meteorological station.

Forecast for Friday Nov 29

Morning and Daytime:
Cloudy periods are anticipated, accompanied by occasional showers in the eastern region and central plateau. Elsewhere, the sky will remain partially overcast.

Maximum Temperatures:

  • Central Plateau: 24 to 26°C
  • Coastal Areas: 28 to 32°C

Evening and Nighttime:
Transient showers are likely, particularly in the East, South, and on the central plateau.

Minimum Temperatures:

  • Central Plateau: 19 to 21°C
  • Coastal Areas: 23 to 25°C

Wind Conditions:
A breeze from the East at approximately 20 km/h is expected, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h in certain areas.

Sea Conditions:
The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with southwest swells reaching heights of 3 meters. Activities in the open sea, as well as in the lagoons of the South and Southeast, are strongly discouraged.
