Acting Attorney General Appointed Until Further Notice
On Tuesday afternoon, November 26, the Presidential Office announced that Shakeel Mohamed has been designated with the “additional responsibility” of Attorney General until further notice.
Mohamed will serve in this capacity until Gavin Glover is sworn in as the new Attorney General, a ceremony that is expected to take place on November 29.
Shakeel Mohamed, ranking as the third highest official in the government, is also the Minister of Lands and Housing.
His temporary appointment underscores his significant role within the administration as the transition to the new Attorney General approaches.
