La Croisette: Severe Injuries for Young Woman Trapped in Escalator

A 21-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after becoming trapped in the escalator at Grand Baie La Croisette. The incident occurred while she was with her mother and sister.

According to reports, the escalator malfunctioned when one of the steps collapsed beneath her, causing her to become wedged in the mechanism.

Emergency services, including firefighters, police, and medical teams from SAMU, were called to the scene to rescue her.

The young woman was trapped for over 40 minutes, with both of her legs caught between the steps of the escalator.

Tragically, as a result of her injuries, doctors were forced to amputate her right foot.

She was subsequently transported to the Northern Hospital, where she received emergency medical attention for her injuries.

The shocking incident has raised concerns about escalator safety and the need for proper maintenance at public facilities.
