Traffic Updates: New Flyover at Terre Rouge Now Operational
As of Tuesday, November 19, significant changes to traffic patterns will take effect at the Terre Rouge roundabout following the completion of the Flyover construction. According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, motorists traveling along the M2 motorway in both directions will now be directed towards the new overpass. This new Flyover is expected to greatly enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion in the area.
Motorists heading north after passing the Indian Oil fuel station will be redirected to the Flyover.
Those wishing to access Arsenal or the center of Terre Rouge will need to take the left exit onto the connecting road.
For vehicles traveling towards Port-Louis, they will also be directed to the Flyover after passing the Bois Marchand cemetery.
Similarly, drivers looking to reach Arsenal or the Terre Rouge center must utilize the left connecting road.
Additionally, pedestrian crossings equipped with traffic lights will be established on the connecting roads to ensure safety for individuals on foot.
The Ministry of Transport is urging drivers to remain vigilant as work is still ongoing in the area. It is crucial for all motorists to slow down and adhere to road signage throughout this transition.
