Contract Termination for MBC Director General, Anooj Ramsurrun

The former Director General of the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), Anooj Ramsurrun, spoke to RadioPlus on the afternoon of November 15, following the immediate termination of his contract. His contract was officially annulled through a letter signed by Suresh Seebaluck, the Secretary to the Cabinet.

The letter outlined that the decision to terminate Ramsurrun’s contract was made in accordance with Article 113 of the Constitution and Article 62 of the Workers’ Rights Act.

In his remarks, Ramsurrun expressed appreciation for the “fair-play” demonstrated by the current government.

He noted that he would receive a month’s salary, his year-end bonus, and any additional benefits as part of the termination process.
