Ken Arian Resigns from Airport Holdings Ltd
In the wake of the 2024 legislative elections, significant shifts are occurring within the leadership of Airport Holdings Ltd. (AHL). Ken Arian, who served as the Chief Executive Officer, has chosen to leave his position. This resignation marks a departure not only for Arian but also signifies the broader trend of individuals from the previous administration stepping down.
Arian’s decision came after a tenure marked by controversy, particularly during the leadership of former Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
He was a prominent figure during the “Moustass Leaks” scandal and was implicated in discussions involving a voice believed to belong to Jugnauth’s wife.
In his resignation, Ken Arian submitted a formal letter to the Cabinet Secretary, who also served as the chairman of AHL.
The letter was concurrently sent to the Prime Minister. Arian cited a matter of principle for his resignation, noting that he had waited for the installation of the new Chief of Government before making his departure.
He had held the CEO position since September 2021.
As the new government settles in, further changes within state-owned enterprises can be expected, reflecting the shifting political landscape.
