Sattar Hajee Abdoula Resigns from SBM Holdings
On Tuesday, November 12, Sattar Hajee Abdoula announced his resignation as Chairman of the Board of SBM Holdings. His resignation will remain in effect until a new board is appointed by the incoming government.
Just under two months prior, on September 30, Abdoula commented on SBM Group’s most recent financial results, noting that the group had achieved profits of 4 billion rupees for the nine-month period ending on that date.
Abdoola is also recognized for being a member of the outgoing government’s”kwisin,” and played a role in the local political landscape.
He was appointed Chairman of SBM Holdings on March 13, 2020, following the resignation of Kee Chong Li Kwong Wing.
