Post-Election Update 2024: MSM Key Figures

In the aftermath of the recent elections, the whereabouts of notable figures Rakesh Gooljaury, Kobita Jugnauth, and Dr. Zouberr Joomaye have become a topic of interest. According to l’Express sources, Rakesh Gooljaury landed in South Africa yesterday, November 11.

He boarded his flight early in the morning, even before the polls had closed and the results were tallied.

l’Express attempted to reach him by phone around 3:30 PM, but he did not respond.

In contrast, Dr. Zouberr Joomaye remained in Mauritius. He confirmed this during a phone conversation on the same day, stating, “I will resume my consultations at the clinic, November 12.

He expressed confidence, assuring us that he had nothing to hide and, therefore, nothing to fear.

When asked about the overwhelming defeat of the Mouvement socialiste militant and its allies, he acknowledged, “The Moustass Leaks played a significant role in this outcome.”

Meanwhile, Kobita Jugnauth also responded to our inquiries, informing l’Express that she is still in Mauritius.

“I am at home, waiting for my husband to return,” she said.

However, she expressed irritation at being contacted for a comment, and abruptly ended the call when we attempted to ask her another question.
