Legislative Elections 2024: Voting in Agalega Concludes Early
Voting in Agalega for the general elections concluded earlier than expected on Sunday, November 10th. As of 10:00 AM, the polling stations on the island had already closed.
According to regulations, the voting centers were open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM to ensure the timely and safe return of the ballot boxes to Mauritius.
A National Coast Guard aircraft landed in Agalega around 10:00 AM and departed the island at 12:30 PM, carrying the ballot boxes containing the votes.
Voter turnout for this election was reported to be moderate.
