On the afternoon of Saturday, November 9, a series of visits took place at the Daneshwock Sewraz Government School in Triolet, which is currently being used as a voting center for the upcoming elections. An unusual situation was reported early that morning, prompting the campaign manager of the Alliance of Change, Akesh Bhye Bhuckory, to raise alarms after being notified by party officials about a vehicle present on the school premises.

Around 2 a.m., Bhuckory arrived at the school to assess the situation.

Upon his arrival, he found that police were already on the scene. Initial investigations revealed that the car in question belonged to a local security guard.

When the guard faced difficulties unlocking his vehicle, law enforcement conducted a search of the car but found no suspicious items.

Following this, Bhuckory inspected the classrooms from the outside and noticed several stacked ballot boxes inside a first-floor classroom.

These boxes, used for voting, were positioned alongside other similar boxes; however, he was unable to determine whether they were empty or filled.

All the classrooms were locked, including the one housing the ballot boxes.

Bhuckory promptly contacted an officer from the Electoral Commission (OEC) the next morning to request an inspection of the boxes.

Later that afternoon, additional visits occurred at the voting center. At 2:55 p.m., candidates from the Lepep Alliance, including Soodesh Callichurn, Ravi Rutnah, and Sunil Bholah, toured the center accompanied by the Returning Officer.

Following this, candidates from the Alliance of Change, Kaviraj Rookny and Ranjiv Woochit, also made an appearance.

Shortly thereafter, a delegation arrived that included prominent politicians such as Geoffroy Cox K.C., Dame Rebecca Harris MP, the Honorable Graham Stuart MP, and the Honorable David Mundell MP.

They were accompanied by legal advisors from the Alliance of Change, including Sanjay Buckhory S.C., Satish Faugoo, and Shaukat Oozeer, to discuss matters with the Returning Officer.

The leader of the Alliance of Change, Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, was also present, and the delegation proceeded to inspect all classrooms and guard facilities.

In response to the earlier incident, the Returning Officer instructed that an additional police presence be established near the side entrance of the school, a measure that was swiftly enacted.
