Altercation Between Supporters of Alliance du Changement & FSM

An altercation broke out last night at Khadafi Square in Plaine-Verte between supporters of the Alliance du Changement and the Front Solidarité Mauricien (FSM). The conflict escalated into a physical confrontation after heated exchanges over the installation of flags in the square.

During the altercation, two individuals, aged 45 and 24, sustained injuries.

The police, led by Superintendent Sam Bansoodeb and Sergeant Ramjaun, intervened around 11 p.m. to restore order in the area.

The injured parties received medical attention at a local clinic, where several supporters of the Alliance du Changement had gathered.

According to reports, both men are now out of danger.

The police have since conducted an entry at the Plaine-Verte police station to address the situation.
