Shakeel Mohamed Dismisses Prime Ministerial Ambitions
In a press conference held this Tuesday morning, November 5, Shakeel Mohamed, a sitting member of parliament from the Labour Party, made it clear that he has no aspirations for a ministerial position.
Speaking on behalf of the Alliance du Changement, he condemned the actions of the ruling MSM party, which he accused of launching a campaign against him.
Mohamed voiced his concerns about the divisive politics being employed by the MSM, stating, “They must not be given the opportunity to divide the country.”
He mentioned that following the recent attacks on his character, he specifically requested Navin Ramgoolam not to nominate him as the potential third minister in a future Alliance du Changement government.
The former parliamentary representative emphasized his commitment to serving the public rather than seeking power for its own sake.
He criticized the outgoing government for what he described as a “negative and deceitful campaign” aimed at creating discord among the population.
In contrast, he highlighted that the Alliance du Changement is focused on delivering important measures for the benefit of the community.
