Moustass Leaks: Season 9 Unveiled
On Sunday, November 3, Missie Moustass launched the ninth season of exposés, just hours before major meetings were scheduled for the two main political blocs in the country. This first episode, running for 21 minutes and 45 seconds, is divided into nine segments and has been made available on Missie Moustass’s YouTube channel.
Part 1
The episode opened with an alleged conversation between the Prime Minister (PM) and Rajiv Servansingh.
During the discussion, the PM mentioned a certain Lucinda, for whom he requested Rajiv’s assistance in providing any necessary information.
Part 2
In this segment, the PM addressed the appointment of an engineer to the Central Electricity Board (CEB).
He shared that he received messages indicating the engineer’s affiliation with the Labour Party, leading him to emphasize the importance of verifying the information.
Additionally, the PM discussed an outstanding debt owed by a school to the CEB and requested an extension to prevent an electricity disconnection, which the minister agreed to grant.
Part 3
This part featured a conversation supposedly involving the PM and an unnamed interlocutor, with the PM allegedly speaking from Ethiopia.
They discussed a search conducted on an advisor linked to a case of illegal documentation.
The interlocutor stressed the need to avoid intimidation, to which the PM responded that he is counting on him to handle the matter appropriately.
Part 5
The PM spoke with Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jangi regarding a person who may have vital information related to the death of Kistnen.
The DCP confireds he knows this individual, who could potentially provide material evidence concerning the case. The PM then requested a contact to obtain further details.
Part 6
In another segment, the PM and Ravi Yerrigadoo converse about the MTC case.
The PM revealed he has met with Maxime Sauzier and highlighted an issue posed by a senior executive of the MTC.
They concluded that the responsibility for the situation should be placed on this high-ranking official.
Part 8: Ejection of Eshan Juman
The PM discussed an issue perceived as unjust with Sooroojdev Phokeer.
The Speaker outlined differences between the British and Indian systems, to which the PM expressed his surprise at needing a motion to address this case.
The Speaker clarified that this procedure will be documented in the Hansard.
PMO’s Response
“Who is behind the Moustass Leaks? You should ask Navin Ramgoolam and Paul Bérenger,” a source from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated.
The outgoing Prime Minister posed a series of questions as well, inquiring whether the media would press Ramgoolam on this issue. “We will not provide comments on these videos,” the PMO added.
Reactions Requested
Le Défi Quotidien reached out to several involved parties, including Joe Lesjongard, Ravi Yerrigadoo, Rajiv Servansingh, Sooroojdev Phokeer, and DCP Jangi.
However, aside from Sooroojdev Phokeer, the others were not available for comment. “I have not seen the video. I have no time for nonsense. I can’t comment on something I haven’t viewed,” stated the former Speaker.
