3 Arrested in Connection with “Moustass Leaks” Investigation
In the early hours of Friday, November 1, the Special Striking Team of the Police Headquarters (PHQ) made three arrests as part of the ongoing investigation into the “Moustass Leaks.” The individuals, whose identities have not been disclosed, are currently being held at the Central Barracks.
One of the suspects, identified as N.V., has engaged the services of lawyer Me Lovena Sowkhee.
In an interview with www.defimedia.info, Sowkhee stated that her client is a service provider and was arrested following a complaint from a person believed to be a former member of the One Moris platform.
This platform was established by Sherry Singh, the former CEO of One Moris.
Sowkhee revealed that police authorities seized N.V.’s laptop and phone during the arrest.
“My client insists that his laptop and phone be examined today,” she stated, noting that she remains unclear about the specific charges against him.
The “Moustass Leaks” investigation stemmed from the recent release of recordings of phone conversations involving various political figures, lawyers, civil society members, diplomats, and journalists, which surfaced on social media.
The scandal has raised significant concerns regarding privacy and the integrity of those implicated.
