Resignation from PMSD: A Critical Stance on Recent Political Alliance
Prithviraj Putten has officially announced his resignation from the Mauritian Social Democratic Party (PMSD). In a statement published on his Facebook page last Thursday, October 24, Putten explained that his decision was prompted by the recent ratification of an alliance between the PMSD and the Militant Socialist Movement (MSM), which took place on October 7.
Putten characterized this alliance as “suicidal,” indicating strong disapproval of the direction the party is taking.
He also mentioned that the leader of the PMSD will need to take responsibility for the electoral outcomes of the upcoming elections scheduled for November 11.
