False Bomb Threat at Line Barracks: 39-Year-Old Man Arrested

Man was arrested by the Central Criminal Investigation Division (CCID) on Thursday evening, October 24, following a hoax email that claimed there was a bomb at the Line Barracks headquarters.

The email, which was received early on same evening, prompted an immediate response from the CCID’s IT Unit, which was able to trace the origin of the message.

Subsequently, a team of investigators conducted a search at a suspect’s residence in Quatre-Bornes.

As a result of the investigation, the man was taken into custody and is facing charges for making a false bomb threat.
