Tavesh Nunkoo, a 16-year-old boy from Camp-Levieux, has been reported missing since Tuesday, October 22. His father, Rishi Nunkoo, and stepmother were at work when they returned home to find Tavesh was no longer in the house. They promptly alerted the police.

By Wednesday, October 23, Tavesh had still not returned home, prompting growing anxiety among his family and friends.

Rishi expressed his concerns, stating, “We have only been living in Camp-Levieux for a month and a half. My son rarely leaves the house.”

On the day of his disappearance, Rishi left home early with his daughter, followed by his partner who also left for work.

Upon returning home that evening, Rishi found everything appeared normal at first.

However, after calling out for Tavesh and not receiving a response, he checked his son’s bedroom and discovered he was missing.

The family searched the entire house but could not locate him.

Concerned for his son’s wellbeing, Rishi contacted Tavesh’s mother, who lives in Quatre-Bornes, but learned he hadn’t gone there either.

After realizing the gravity of the situation, he went to the Camp-Levieux police station to report Tavesh’s disappearance.

As the hours progressed, the family’s worry intensified.

“My son has some minor issues; he might leave and forget a week. He had an appointment on Tuesday, October 22, and I was supposed to take him on the following day.

He is currently undergoing treatment in Beau-Bassin. He couldn’t sleep and was restless around the house. I searched for him until 1 AM,” Rishi recounted.

On Wednesday, October 23, police continued their search for Tavesh with the assistance of police dogs.

It was noted that Tavesh lost his cellphone, making it difficult to track his whereabouts.

At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly wearing a black jacket, black jeans, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information that could assist in locating Tavesh or who may have seen him is urged to contact the following numbers: 4680034 (35), 148, 999, or 5719-6407. The community remains hopeful for Tavesh’s safe return.
