In a parallel press announcement, Xavier Duval introduced the concept of a Pupil Equity Fund, intended to assist students from low-income families.

Additionally, The creation of 20 animal shelters across the island to cater to abandoned animals.
An additional Rs 5,000 monthly allocation was promised to help persons with disabilities supplement their pensions.
Households impacted by natural disasters would receive a minimum allocation of Rs 10,000 to aid recovery.
Alan Ganoo announced other initiatives, including free transport for widows and widowers.
Free internet access will be offered to low-income families, with existing internet packages to be reduced by 25%.
Lastly, Jugnauth pledged that all prescription medications would be provided free of charge.
