Local Man Released on Bail After Arrest for Removing Flags
Muhammad Sabeer Choychoo, a 32-year-old resident of Lower Vale, has been released on bail after spending six days in police custody.
He was arrested last Tuesday, October 15, by the Northern Criminal Investigation Division on charges of removing flags belonging to the Lepep Alliance at the Vale roundabout on October 12.
During his court appearance at the Pamplemousses District Court on Monday, October 21, the police did not contest his release on bail.
Represented by attorney Me Anas Sakhawoth, Choychoo was required to pay a bail amount of Rs 5,000 to secure his temporary freedom.
