Alliance du Changement Unveils Plans for Fuel Reductions & Pension Increases
The Alliance du Changement officially kicked off its national campaign for the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for November 10. The launch took place at a rally on Chateauneuf Street in Curepipe this Sunday, October 20.
Supporters from various political parties, including the Labour Party (PTr), the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM), the New Democrats, and Rezistans ek Alternativ, all part of the Alliance du Changement, gathered in large numbers for the event.
During the meeting, former Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam made a bold promise regarding fuel prices. He stated, “Once we are in power, the prices of petrol and diesel will decrease.”
This was echoed by enthusiastic supporters who rallied behind the Alliance’s vision.
Ramgoolam also addressed the issue of pensions, assuring the audience, “We will adjust pensions according to inflation every year.
Your pension will rise to Rs 21,000, or even Rs 21,500.” His statements resonated with many attendees, as he outlined the Alliance’s plans to improve economic conditions for the elderly.
The meeting served as a significant platform for the Alliance du Changement to connect with supporters ahead of the crucial elections n November.
