Tragic Road Accident in Beaux-Songes Claims 4 Lives

This morning, October 12, a tragic accident occurred in Beaux-Songes, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and leaving others injured. The collision took place around 5:50 AM between a truck and a car near the Kovil Ellai Kataye Ammen.

The victims, identified as three young men and one young woman, were all residents of the Quatre Bornes area.

They were pronounced dead at the scene, while one other occupant of the car was injured and was transported to the hospital.

The truck driver, who also sustained serious injuries, was similarly taken to the hospital for treatment.

The severity of the accident caused significant traffic jams in the area, resulting in a complete halt of vehicles in both directions.

Emergency services, including firefighters, responded promptly to the scene, and the police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

Among the deceased was Darel Agathe, a resident of Berthaud, Quatre-Bornes. His mother, Marie-Michèle, shared her heartbreak, describing him as a friendly young man who always brought joy to his family.

She fondly recalled happy moments they shared with friends and expressed sorrow over his decision to stay with his aunts instead of living with her.

Darel had dreams for the future, including plans to build his own home.

The other victims of the collision have been identified as Wakil Timol, the driver from Beau-Séjour, Belle-Rose; Dylan Sansouci from Résidence Kennedy; and Nina Marie Phoebe Ludivine from Quatre-Bornes.

A fifth passenger in the car, Bradley Henry, also sustained injuries, as did the truck driver, who resides in Paillotte.

An ongoing investigation aiming to clarify the details of this devastating accident and the factors that led to it.
