MSAW Warns Public About Fraudulent Payment Requests for Animal Releases

In a statement released on Wednesday, October 2, the organization emphasized that no individual is authorized to ask for money in exchange for the release of animals housed in its shelters.

The MSAW urged the public to report any person engaging in such illegal activities to the police and to inform the organization directly.

“We invite the public to denounce anyone involved in this activity, which is punishable by law,” the statement read.
