Ravin Papiah: The 1st Mauritian to Achieve Certified Speaking Professional Status

Ravin Souvendra Papiah has made history by becoming the first Mauritian to earn the prestigious Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) certification, awarded by the Virtual Speakers Association International (VSAI). This remarkable achievement highlights his excellence in public speaking, placing him among the top 10% of speakers worldwide, as noted in a press release from Cerebrõ, a consulting firm specializing in brand revitalization and communication strategy, on September 23.

Currently serving as the Managing Director of Ravin Papiah Leadership International Ltd, Papiah is also a consultant for leadership and public speaking at Cerebrõ.

In addition to his professional roles, he is a celebrated author, with six of his works achieving best-seller status on Amazon.

Expressing his gratitude, Papiah stated, “I am overwhelmed and deeply moved to be the first Mauritian to receive this distinction.”

He extended his heartfelt appreciation to his family, friends, clients, and the Toastmasters community, who have supported him throughout his journey.

“A huge thank you to my mentors and coaches who believed in me and provided guidance along the way.”

Papiah’s inspiring journey began in the sugar cane fields of southern Mauritius, where he worked as a fragile child.

Through sheer determination and hard work, he ascended to share the stage with some of the most prestigious speakers around the globe.

In addition to his speaking achievements, Papiah was the first Mauritian to serve at the cabinet level for District 74 of Southern Africa (comprising 13 countries) last year as the Club Growth Director.

This year, he holds the position of Program Quality Director for District 129 of Southern Africa, which includes nine countries.

His academic credentials are equally impressive, featuring an Executive Master’s degree in Marketing from Paris-Dauphine University, an MBA from Ducere Global Business School, and several postgraduate diplomas in marketing and training management.

As the first Mauritian to achieve CSP status, Ravin Papiah feels a profound commitment to inspire others to dream big and believe in their abilities.
