Former DCP Appointed as Police Consultant
Heman Jangi, the former Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has been officially appointed as a consultant for the police force. He commenced his new role on the morning of September 25th, and his office is located within the premises of the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Retired from active police duty in 2023, Jangi had previously served as an advisor to the Prime Minister, a position he took up in September of last year.
In that capacity, he was responsible for providing guidance on security matters and prison management.
As a former director of the Central CID, Jangi’s extensive experience in law enforcement will now benefit not only the CID but also various other police units as he offers his expertise and advice in his new consulting role.
